Angola NGC Phase 1 is a green field project aiming at developing a system to gather gas and associated condensates of 2 NAG fields, located offshore Angola in shallow water: Quiluma and Maboqueiro. It is envisaged a subsequent Phase 2 comprising other fields under exploration which are outside the current project scope.
Eni development concept for NGC Phase 1 foresees the installation of 2 wellhead platforms, to produce and export NAG well’s fluid to an onshore treatment plant and subsequent products sale to Angola LNG plant located in Soyo.
The Quiluma Field is located south of the Congo River on the boundaries of Blocks 1 and 2 offshore Angola, approximately 50 km from the LNG Plant. It encompasses approximately 463 sq. km and water depth ranges from 175 to 310 ft.
Substructures:
Maboqueiro wellhead platform is configured with west face vertical allowing for well drilling operation by jack-up when the platform is complete with topside installed.
Therefore overall configuration of jacket and topside and its component (bumpers, boat landing, vent boom, crane pedestal) have to consider the limitation that west side is dedicated to jack-up approach.
The substructure is a four-legged jacket type structure with one vertical row for jack-up access.
The dimensions of the jacket structure is:
- top plan dimension : 15 m x 18 m (referred at EL +8.0 m);
- bottom plan dimensions : 29,84 m x 28,88 m (referred at EL -83.0 m, i.e. seabed).
The jacket is provided with nr. 6 slots, to accommodate nr. 6 conductor pipes 30”.
